This is a mix of patriotic colors including blue, white and red/orange (please note that a bright orange maybe used in place of red). Patriotic koi can be standard fin or butterfly fin koi. This is a limited time combo so don't wait to order. These koi can be standard fin, butterfly fin or a combination depending on what fish we currently have in stock. Please note the pictures shown above are a good representation of our fish, but not the exact fish you will receive. If you would prefer a mix of colors, please view our other koi listings. Koi that are 4" or smaller do well with our mini pellet floating food. Koi larger than 4" can have either the mini pellets or larger 5mm pellets.

Koi Description - Live Butterfly or Standard Fin Koi

Koi are beautifully and uniquely colored members of the carp family. They are a great addition to any freshwater garden pond. There are two varieties of Koi available: Standard Fin Koi and Butterfly or Long Fin Koi. Standard Fin Koi have normal fins, while the butterfly koi have longer flowing fins. Koi come in a multitude of color patterns, from solid yellow color to tri-color patterns and everything in between. Toledo Goldfish strives to send you high quality koi with a range of color patterns. Koi can be mixed with other freshwater straight tailed pond goldfish. Koi are omnivores and will eat all types of dried and live food, but basic fish flakes or pellet food will provide the proper diet.

Please note: This item is a living being. We hope your aquatic creature lives a long, happy life! But there is always a chance its lifespan will end prematurely. Before you buy consider the possibility of disappointment about the lifespan. These are live animals and may not survive shipments in extreme heat or cold. We do package our shipments well, but please postpone your order if daytime temperatures in your area are below 45° or above 90°.

Shipping Details

Toledo Goldfish provides FREE SHIPPING on all goldfish, koi, crayfish, minnow, tadpole and snail orders.  We process orders for overnight arrival to your door Tuesday - Friday. We currently utilize FedEx and UPS. We cannot ship products to PO or APO addresses and do not use USPS for live fish.

Orders placed by 10AM EST Monday - Thursday will ship same day, with orders being placed after the cut-off time shipping the next day. Orders placed after 10AM EST on Thursdays will ship the following
Monday.

If you order fish and large amounts of fish food, they may be shipped separately. Small bags of fish food may ship in the same box as the fish.

How We Ship Our Fish

Our fish are packed in insulated cardboard boxes with stryo, foil and/or ice packs depending on the weather. We ship your fish with cold spring water and pure oxygen which allow them to travel overnight from our farm to your door.

We ship all live fish for overnight delivery but we do pack our fish to hopefully be okay in the case of an unexpected delay by the carrier. It doesn’t happen often, but please do always receive a delayed
box and get your fish into fresh water as soon as possible on arrival. Make sure to count all the live fish and any that have issues and reach out to us at info@toledogoldfish.com within 24 hours.

All Toledo Goldfish live fish and critters are born and raised on our family fish farm in the USA. Our family fish farm locations and fish are health certified to insure you are receiving a quality product.

Fish Feeding

Goldfish can eat many different types of fish flakes or pellets. We suggest goldfish smaller than 4" in size are fed flake fish food or mini pellet floating food. Goldfish larger than 4" can have either the mini pellets or larger 5mm pellets.  Be careful to follow feeding instructions as overfeeding your fish can be harmful for your fish.

It is common for fish to by shy or stand offish upon arrival. It can take them some time to adapt to their new environment and learn to come up and feed.

Ordered 5 patriotic red, white and blue 6-8” koi

Ordered 5 patriotic red, white and blue 6-8” koi. They arrived on time and healthy but the quality of the fish did not meet my expectations. The colors were very muted and 3 of the 5 fish I received looked almost identical. I was expecting a better mix of colors or at least koi that looked similar to those shown in the web site photo. I contacted Toledo but they said the fish sent met their standards for that particular mix. Maybe just a bad draw for me but I’ll order in the future from one of the many other koi online retailers.

Shipping live fish can be tricky, and unfortunately, a few didn't make the first trip. However, Toledo Goldfish was fantastic to work with and sent replacements free of charge. It’s a relief to buy from a farm that truly cares about their customers and their fish.

Only 4 out of 7 survived.

Pretty fish, but didn't wind up with the 5 fish I ordered and paid for. The package I received contained 2 that were DOA, and another one died the next evening. I sent an e-mail to their customer service but after several days have received no response. Ironically, I only live a couple hours drive away from them (Ozark Fisheries location, southern Missouri) but they don't allow in-person pickup. Highly unsatisfactory performance and abysmal customer service. First time I purchased anything from them; also the last time.
