Albino Channel Catfish (Ictalurus punctatus) are a color variation of the more common blue channel catfish. The albinos feature a striking pale pink to white body color with translucent fins and classic large eyes. They stand out in the water, making them easy to spot and fun to watch in your pond or water garden. They are very similar with their darker channel catfish counterparts, but their unique appearance makes them an attractive option for those wanting something a bit different in their system. 

📏 Albino Catfish Size & Growth

• Available Sizes: Our albino channel catfish are currently range from 2-4 inches in size.

• Growth Rate: These catfish grow quickly in the right conditions and can reach sizes of 18–24 inches or more over a few years time.

• Lifespan: With proper care, they can live up to 15+ years.

• Pond Clean-Up Crew: Catfish are bottom dwellers and love to help clean up uneaten food and organic debris.

• Great for Stocking: Ideal for farm ponds, decorative ponds, or large aquariums. It is recommended to have at least 50 gallons of water per fish. Typically around 50-75 catfish can be stocked per acre. 

• Peaceful Temperament: Generally non-aggressive and coexist well with most other pond fish like goldfish and koi.

• Cold-Hardy: Adapt well to various temperatures, especially when properly acclimated.

🥫 Albino Catfish Diet

Catfish are omnivores and  do well with floating pellets or sinking fish food. They will also scavenge and help keep the bottom of the pond clean. You do have to be careful when they are larger as they can eat some smaller fish in your pond system.

🌿 Albino Catfish Habitat

Albino Catfish do well in a variety of pond environments and like cool, clean water with plenty of oxygen and low ammonia. They like to have hiding spaces like rocks, logs, or shaded pond areas.
